Over the past 140 years, Elastoplast has been building its healthcare expertise. We’re celebrating the new year by pledging to give back to the communities we serve around the world. To mark this occasion, we’re launching a new social mission to guide our activities going forward, so we can have you covered long into the future.

As we at Elastoplast look back over our years of expertise, it is now time to give back to the world and launch our social mission: we pledge to train more than 200,000 children around the world in first aid by 2025. This wound care education will empower these children to protect themselves and others from those everyday scrapes and bruises. We believe that a new generation of first aid experts will go on to disseminate their new knowledge to their friends and family, in time helping countless people around the world learn about wound protection and the prevention of infections.

The first step is to launch local child-friendly educational programs in eight markets. Cooperating with local partners gives us the opportunity to connect with communities in each of these markets and help children learn in a playful way to protect themselves, help others, and get new insights into wound care.
In Germany, Indonesia, the Netherlands, India, Austria, and Belgium, Elastoplast partnered up with the local Red Cross organisations. In the United Kingdom, we will work with Dr Zoe, a NHS GP and in Australia, we will work with ACHPER (Australian Council for Health, Physical Education & Recreation).

With these programs, we at Elastoplast aim to live up to our new social mission and help thousands of people around the world. Spreading better wound care education is one of the ways that Elastoplast can make our next hundred years even more meaningful than the last. After all this time, we’re still dedicated to keeping people and families safe — for a life uninterrupted. Our commitment is to prevent infections caused by everyday injuries. By educating children in first aid, we are empowering them to help themselves and others.
