From the area of tenderness or pain, the pad should be placed a little bit closer down. You may also make a fist while applying the support so that it won’t feel too tight when going through normal acations. The support can be worn on the left and the right arm. For detailed application advice see the provided information on the folding box.
The Tennis Elbow Support is suitable for the support of elbows generally affected by tendon injuries such as tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis) as well as golfer’s elbow (medical epicondylitis). The tendon pad can be located exactly at the elbow, independently from the individual anatomical circumstances and area of pain by vary the position with the top cover assembly and the hook to provide comfortable, firm and adjustable support.

5. What is the mode of action of a Tennis Elbow Support?
Anyone who repeats the same arm movements every day can be suddenly overcome by sharp pain. The tissues are over-strained and become swollen and inflamed. The use of Tennis Elbow Support may improve function during daily activities in this case. The tendon pad offers perpendicular, straight-line targeted pressure (compression) both localised and distributed across the extensor muscle and tendon. The compression on the muscles prevents pulling on the pain location and distribute the load that is going through the muscle into the tendon to the surrounding tissues, thus providing relief.

6. Can I wash the Tennis Elbow Support?
Yes. All Elastoplast Supports are made with machine-washable materials. Here’s how to care for your support: For products with Velcro® straps, fasten them securely at the place provided on the support. Machine wash your support in cold/cool water (~30ºC) using the gentle or delicate cycle. Wash separately using laundry detergent with no additives (do not use fabric softener or Woolite, do not use bleach). Lay your support flat and let it air dry; do not put it in the dryer.
